    TCAT-PCAT info and questions ( merged )

I have a further question about PCATs.  I am on a PCAT, which meets the minimum standard for my current trade, and I am being retained.  Am I able to be promoted while on this PCAT?  My understanding was that I am, because I still meet the med standards for my trade.  Normally I would look this...

Disclaimer Noted...but still good information to know.  Do you if an AR (MEL) is done for every PCat or only ones that place the member below the minimum standards for their trade? Thank you.

How much weight does the MOs and BSurg's recommendation for MEL's carry?  I was told recommendations were made that would give me G3O3, but that D Med Pol makes the final decision on the category.  Does D Med Pol often reduce categories beyond what has been recommended?

CORs must be complete in 3 months or less

COR = Compulasry Occupation Reassignment. Right now I am working on my 3rd OPME, and I have completed BOTP and phase 1 of AEC training.  Both trades I want to get into will most likely open up in the new fiscal year.  The main issue is that I am being told by the PSO that I should have been...

CORs must be complete in 3 months or less

I am trying to get into PAO (which I have been working in for 7 months now) or LOG (which I have related experience).  Both trades are closed.  The PSO is telling me I should have no problem going back to officer...but I have similar doubts.  I am also interested in some officer trades I can't...

Pay concerns in regards to OT's

Thank you for the reply...it does take some weight off my mind...although I know until I get a message nothing is set in stone. I shouldn't have any problem with the PLQ, although I have to apply to get some mods added to my MPRR that aren't there now, and I know my 6Bs mean nothing to my new...

Pay concerns in regards to OT's

Here is an added twist...I am in a situation where I was Res MCpl 4, ct to reg 2LT and has applied to become a Reg force NCM in a different trade from what I was in the reserves.  I was 6B qualified in my res trade, and have almost 12 years in (credited with about 7 when they add up all the...

    AEC to AC op

I was told by the PSO that they had received a directive last June that the re-assignment process was taking too long for most and too many people were sitting on the BTL.  Because of that they were instructed to have all CORs apply for a new trade within 3 months.  Unfortunately, the day I was...

CORs must be complete in 3 months or less

Hello: I can't seem to find anything on this so I am wondering if I am the only person in this position.  I was ceased trained from the AEC trade and sent to the PSOs for a Compulsary transfer.  I was told I had 3 months to pick a new trade from those open on the re-assignment list. ...

Second Language Training ( SLT )

I am curious about the likeliness of being allowed to do SLT somewhere other than St. Jean?  Has this been done?

    OJT for AECs

I am seeing a lot of posts from pilots wondering about their ojt, but I am ondering what an AEC should expect?  Is it similar? I know that we have a pre study package to do, but wht else is there?  Does anyone know when the next available course in Cornwall is? [Edit to capitalize OJT.]
