For your SA, DP1 Armd Recce is approx. 5 weeks, with most weekends scheduled to be off. BMQ-L is 12 training days. Karmeliet, if you do weekend BMQ during the training year, you can expect to be away from late June/early July until late Aug.

I haven't been to CFLRS, therefore I'm not familiar with their specific SOPs and BSOs (USOs? I'm not sure how CFLRS is classified) but I know that generally any sort of heating appliance is a no go in shacks, especially ones without an automatic shut-off.

Just wondering if anyone has a copy of the Armoured Recce aide-memoire, either digital or in print. I'm not located near the Armour School kit shop (and last I heard they were out of stock anyway), but I'm looking for a copy to use on an upcoming course.

You monster! IMO the fleece is an excellent piece of kit. That plus thermals, and stealth suit and I'm good down to -10. On the boot issue, I've seen a pair of the Royer ones and they seemed like they got really dirty easily and didn't clean up very well. I'll continue to wear my Rocky's until...
