Need advice on goin PRes or RegF with 2 years left in my degree.

Stick to school, and look at the reserves. The time to join direct entry is likely no shorter than the time required for a CT, but while waiting for a CT you can still parade, get paid, and learn new skills that will be a benefit in a RegF career..

Pro/Anti Child Bearing Policies (split from "Canada don’t matter" thread)

Within that diagram I can see things progressives would take issue with, so are you just as harsh on North American progressives regarding being pro-natal?

    Canadian Surface Combatant RFQ

The new NCEU is FR, but seems more like the FR kit issued to soldiers in its intent. I.E. It doesn't make a bad situation worse by melting, but it seems to be less about overall protection. The approach makes some sense to me, as the idea is to protect from flash fire more than for fighting...

In America, and against the particular solutions put forward by progressives there...

    Meteorological Technician

@eliminator nailed it. We are in the INT branch, and wear the three core elemental DEUs (we have people in CANSOFCOM, but not in CANSOF DEU). Until the rank of Sgt the DEU you are assigned makes no difference in employment, or opportunities. At the Sgt/WO level, succession management can...

Sexual Assault & Sexual Misconduct in the CF

Perhaps the CAF learned from those previous experiences, when things fell apart and they had to go to court or settle with the named and shamed members.

    King Charles III

I'm a dyed-in-the-wool monarchist, but I actually think developing our own traditions for the King of Canada makes some sense. The "Snowflake" crown looks good, and is a distinctly Canadian emblem. If Canada creates its own tradition of the monarch facing one direction, that's great as well...

    Replacing the Subs

True, I had essentially pointed that out in a prior post so didn't repeat myself. The point I was making is that it wasn't a navy/Topshee decision.

    King Charles III

I'd expect the King gets to choose, even if tradition has been to alternate, much like choosing which crown to use.

How did you come to this conclusion?

    Replacing the Subs

I'm sure the ORs would love the extra task of tracking who was and wasn't getting a taxable benefit, it's not like most are already understaffed and over worked... Treasury Board said parking was a taxable benefit, the CAF chose the paid parking route across the CAF. Why would Halifax be given...

    Replacing the Subs

I wasn't aware he was the Treasury Board... free parking was deemed a taxable benefit in municipalities that charge for parking. Esquimalt doesn't pay, because the town doesn't charge for parking.

Federal Government & Union spar over returning to office

That is the most CAF thing I've seen in a long time... and I just cleared into barracks in Gagetown earlier today, where I was supplied twin bedding for a double bed.

    Hamas invaded Israel 2023

Have you considered that people were actually opposed to the EA, and not the clearing of protestors? I know it's convenient to paint people with a different opinions as dumb hypocrites, but it's not always(or often) the case.
