PSHCP - Frustration abounds as public service health plan gets switched to Canada Life

The OUTCAN folks have to deal with MSH, which is the issue. Canada Life has been fine for my spouse. I know of someone who had to pay upfront (still waiting on reimbursement) in the US for the birth of their child. It’s been a few months. Let’s just say the price they had to pay was...

Well obviously it’s because of the Nazi base in that part of the moon…. :sneaky: Is the budget passing a sure thing? I haven’t been keeping up but I thought the NDP didn’t commit to supporting it, and the Bloc and CPC were against it.

Justin Trudeau hints at boosting Canada’s military spending

Except that Biden can’t just force the House and Senate to approve things. The US-style “checks and balances” form of govt works until it doesn’t, and one person (like Tuberville) can bring everything to a grinding halt.

I didn’t like the fact that people made fun of Chrétien due to his stroke. I didn’t agree with some of the stuff he said, but judging someone for something they can’t change (like their voice) seems a bit petty to me.

Sure, but my point is that we shouldn’t disregard someone’s points just because we don’t like the sound of their voice.

What did Frank ever do to you?! :ROFLMAO: Also, governments everywhere hate exactly what you mentioned because it doesn’t give them any wiggle room, mostly from opposition parties. The opposition (and voters) don’t care if the govt says “we used the best info at hand and we were wrong”...

2022 CPC Leadership Discussion: Et tu Redeux

It can be both. A sitting govt can point to the budget and say definitively that they plan on doing whatever because of the budget. Assuming the budget passes, that means that the other parties also agree (in theory). But yes, sitting as opposition is easier - as in any other circumstance...

https://www.nytimes.com/2024/04/28/opinion/justin-trudeau-right-wing-canada.html?smid=nytcore-ios-share&referringSource=articleShare I acknowledge that this opinion piece is even more “fan-boi” for the Trudeaus. But, it’s on the New York Times so it’s an American opinion on it.

We in the RCAF had this discussion from the get-go when Aviator became a rank. I agree with you, for what it’s worth. Interestingly, the Royal Australian Air Force also changed from “Airmen/Airwomen” to “Aviator” as a collective term in 2021, but kept Aircraftman/Aircraftwoman (AC / ACW) and...

PSHCP - Frustration abounds as public service health plan gets switched to Canada Life

…and the only reason why this is even a thing is because GAC and other civilians are having these issues too. If it was just CAF members posted overseas, there would be crickets.

Unless I’m reading the graph backwards, doesn’t it mean aside from ROK, populations are agreeing more that climate change is a major threat?

I think it’s a matter of primacy bias: We’re used to the Canadian way of berets. That doesn’t mean that there aren’t other methods of shaping a patch of felt on your head. I would suspect that the IDF folks would see our berets and think “wtf”. The French Chasseurs and their massive pizza...

    Current Dress Regs

Small quibble: “Aircrew” isn’t a comprehensive-enough term for folks who wear light blue. There are 7 (8 if you count Astronauts) “aircrew” trades - they are the folks who wear the big spread-out wings. There are some other folks in different trades that also wear the upswept full wings (e.g...
