The sales is to Croatia for 1b Euros. More jet than what they need IMO. Better to spend the money on their ground forces.

I'm not anti-US by any means, but I am glad they kept the money & work within Europe. Just for the sake of supporting their Euro allies & partners.

Even upgraded early model Rafales are quite capable machines, and more than enough for what Croatia uses them for. I'd have thought the new build F-16's from the US would have been cheaper, which is an important consideration even without Covid-19 hanging over us. (Too much fine print on where, when, and how they are used?)

Either way. I'm a Rafale fan, exciting time to be a pilot there
