FREE PARKING - PEARSON AIRPORT
1. Pearson International Airport (Toronto) is currently providing free parking to all CF members in any of their facilities (Express, Daily, Value, etc) for either business or pleasure.
2. Process is as fol:
a. Do not pay your parking fee on the various orange machines;
b. On exiting the parking, identify yourself with your valid CF id to the attendant;
c. Exit for free.
3. This is an initiative from the Toronto Pearson Airport as part of their "Support the Troops" programme. Note that there is no expiry date on this promotion so it is advisable to check with the airport prior to exiting the facility to ensure the programme is still in effect on your next trip. Ref. Email "FREE PARKING - PEARSON AIRPORT" dated 3-Apr-12 1648hrs.
1. It was communicated today from higher HQ that the original message (ref email) about the free parking programme at Pearson Airport was, in fact, non-existent. Below is an excerpt from the Greater Toronto Airports Authority Guest Experience:
"Recently, our Guest Experience team has received an influx of inquiries from Canadian Forces personnel regarding discounted/free parking rates at Toronto Pearson facilities. While we support our military personnel, currently we do not offer discounted rates for parking in our garages."
2. Questions can be directed to Pearson International Airport for further clarification.
