I am a former PPCLI Sgt who got out and now I wish to join the Militia. Because I am an RCMP officer, I am ineligible to join the reserves. From what I can gather the problem is with the DND. If this is a fact, why? The Army has spent hundreds of thousands of dollars training me to a high level, only to deny me the right to join the reserves and give back my knowledge to them. I know of at least 10 other RCMP officers whom I work with that are ex reserves or regular force whom wish to join also. This is only in my area, what are the amount of RCMP officers nation wide which would choose to join the reserves if given a chance. I don't know if anyone important will read this but if they do could they e-mail back and let me know? Just curious.
