Sunset of 419 Squadron, for now

Or the USAF refuses to train Capt Inclusive because his hair won't fit in the flight helmet
Then that’s an operational requirement - hence Capt Inclusive cuts his hair to fit into the helmet.

People seem to forget that commanders can order shaving or anything else to confirm to operational requirements.

Edited to add: Women with long hair also fly as fighter pilots. They manage to make it work.

“US has the same issues as us” is a common thing. They just have more of whatever so it’s less noticeable.

I learned recently that US service couples are considered “co-located” if they are within 200-ish miles of each other (might be 250 miles). Also, they generally don’t have geo restrictions on housing so driving 2h one-way to work isn’t unheard of.

Don’t forget, Saturdays and Sundays also count against their annual leave… 👍🏼
Right - forgot about that.

They are super jealous of how much leave we get compared to them. They have 30 days Annual, but weekends also get included in that number if they are spent outside home station. On long weekends they get the corresponding other day off too to make it a 4-day weekend - but again, if they travel outside home station then 3 of those days count against the 30.

When I explained our leave policies to some of them, their jaws nearly hit the floor.
